Worldwide Dispensers offers glands (also referred to as fitments and spouts) to attach dispensing taps to bag-in-box packaging. For 1-30 liter BIB, Hedwin stocks a 38mm externally threaded gland for 'screw-on' type taps and valves and a 28mm gland for 'push in' or 'interference-fit' taps. For bulk BIB, 2" LLDPE internally threaded glands are available, designed to be welded/sealed onto bulk IBC liners, typically 55-330 gallons in volume. Used both as a filling as well as a discharge fitment, the 2" gland is also intended for use with Worldwide Dispensers' 2" Drum Major and Straight Through Taps.
The 2" Cutter Adapter with stainless steel pin is attached to the entry port of the 2" tap. It then pierces the bulk liner as the valve is screwed into the gland, allowing liquid product to discharge after the valve has formed a complete seal between valve and gland.
