Worldwide Dispensers offers both screw-action and lever style taps for the purpose of dispensing liquids from containers with a 3/4" bung, blanked opening (25mm diameter,) or other aperture. These taps can also be threaded into screwcaps with 3/4" internal well. The screw-action Drum Tap (COM 4411) is a plug or 'needle' valve, and is molded with polyethylene materials. Like all W&D products, the Drum Tap conforms to U.S. FDA regulations and is suitable for a wide variety of industrial chemicals as well as spirits and other food products.
The 3/4" Jumbo Hex (COM 4449) is a lever tap constructed with polypropylene (PP) and high density polyethylene (HDPE). At a constant liquid head of 25cm, water will flow through the Jumbo Hex at a rate of 296 ml./second, making this the highest-flow tap of any similar plastic 3/4" faucet in the market. Additionally, unique component assembly produces an exceptionally smooth turning operation, eliminating the binding and stiffness found in more common 3/4" drum faucets. A natural rubber gasket ensures completely leak-free product discharge.
Finally, the 3/4" Water Butt Tap (COM 4660) is a HDPE/PP molded lever tap, which was originally designed as a discharge tap for use with garden cisterns. This tap features a stationary spigot/nozzle, which is ideal for applications such as fermenting/home brew, where tubing is commonly connected to the spigot end. While the lever is turned on/off, the spigot end remains stationary, preventing kinking/binding of the tubing. The spigot is also barbed to grip and hold tubing in place.
